Do I have to search for items by boys/girls, or can I shop gender neutral?

Yes, you can absolutely shop gender-neutral on our website! If you go to our homepage and click on the white ‘Shop All Clothes‘ button (instead of clicking on ‘Shop boys’ or ‘Shop girls’) then this will show you everything we have in stock, without separating it into genders. You can then use the filters at the top of the page to choose the size you want.

 

What are the postage costs for my order, and do I get a tracking number?

We post items all over the UK (including BFPO and Channel Islands) for £3.99, which is a flat rate for as many items you want. Orders over £50.00 will recieve automatic free postage at checkout.

Items are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48 hour service, and you should automatically be emailed a tracking number.

Sorry we do not currently post outside the UK, BFPO and Channel Islands.

 

What can I expect from my items?

Items are preloved, not new. However they will be in great condition, clean and from a smoke and pet-free environment after washing. You shouldn’t find any stains, marks, holes, fading, bad bobbling, mis-shapen clothes or cracked logos. We do sometimes accept very slight bobbling, but this won’t be anything severe. Our promise to you is that only items we would be happy to buy ourselves will make it onto our website.

Obviously we are only human and the odd defect may slip through when we are sorting so many hundreds of items per week, but if we do make a mistake and miss anything, we’ll happily refund you if you let us know 🙂

Please note we DON’T iron items. We process over 1,000 items a week and so if we did this we would need to employ two extra full-time staff members just for ironing! Given that items may re-crease in the post, and that we know many customers prefer to re-wash items in their own laundry products anyway, we prefer not to pass this extra cost on to our customers.

We do accept items with name tags or initials written on the inside label, so items bought from us may have these – this is part of the nature of preloved clothing.

Your items may come with our numbered ‘SKU label’ stickers on the inside the item’s material, you will need to remove these before use.

 

How long will it take for my order to arrive

We aim to dispatch orders either the same working day or next working day after ordering. We are closed weekends, so orders from Friday lunchtime onwards will usually be packed and posted the following Monday. Occasionally there may be a day added onto this due to unforeseen circumstances such as staff illness/absence. We use Royal Mail Tracked 48, which should take 2 working days from the date of dispatch to arrive. 

If you urgently need your order quicker than this it may be possible for us to post this first class/next day delivery for an additional fee. please contact us via our Facebook page or info@buildabundle.co.uk to request this. 

We will always refund any orders which are lost in the post, but we will not do this until at least 3 weeks has been given from the date of posting, to allow a chance for the parcel to arrive. Items are not considered ‘missing’ by Royal Mail until 15 working days after posting, so we would be unable to refund until this time.

Please also note that  occasionally delivery times may be longer than the stated delivery estimate of 3 working days from the date of posting – this is beyond our control and no compensation or refunds will be given for late deliveries which take longer than estimated to arrive, where Royal Mail has been at fault (although we will of course refund any lost items which don’t arrive at all).

 

Are the items on your website new or used?

We sell a mixture of pre-loved (used/second-hand) clothing, brand new with tags items and brand new ex-chainstore stock. The vast majority of items on our website are pre-loved. 

Brand new items will be clearly stated in the title of the item – therefore if an item does NOT say brand new in the title then it WILL BE A USED item (but still in great condition!)

Items listed as ‘Brand new with tags’ items are simply items which the parents who sell to us have bought from shops but never got a chance to wear them, as kids grow so fast and can be fussy! These will be brand new, unworn with the original shop labels and tags attached. 

Items listed as ‘Brand new ex-chainstore’ or ‘ex-high street’ are brand new items which were originally made for large U.K. retailers but for whatever reason they have been left over as surplus stock (often if there has been a delay in the order being manufactured, so the retailer has cancelled it). These will all be unused and will often have the tags attached, but not always. The store labels inside the item may have been marked with pen or cut out in order to prevent store returns.

 

What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept the following methods of payment on our website – 

  • All major credit and debit cards via Stripe Payments
  • Paypal (both normal payments and Pay in 3)
  • Apple Pay
  • Googlepay

How do you categorise your sizes?

We always size down, so if an item is labelled 5 years this will appear in our 4-5 years section, this is the correct sizing in accordance with most UK retailers. Similarly items labelled 18 months will appear in our 12-18 months section, age 7 will appear in our 6-7 years section and so on.

Our Newborn/First Size section contains items which may be labelled Newborn, First Size and Up to 1 month. 

Please note that we can only go by the shop’s label and we have no way of knowing if an item comes up particularly big or small. Please also note that with pre-loved items they will have been washed and so are not likely to come up as big as brand new items.
