Introducing Buildabundle’s new owners

Hello!

It’s time to introduce myself. I’m Katie and I’m the new owner of Buildabundle. 

I’ve just finished collecting everything from Anna and Nat and I’m making my way back to Devon, where Buildabundle will be based from now on.

Some of you may recognise me from my other preloved kids clothes business, Katie’s Kids Clothes.

I’ve been friends with Anna and Nat for a few years now.  Buildabundle started and grew at the same time as Katie’s Kids Clothes and I’ve always loved the Buildabundle brand and everything that Anna and Nat have achieved.

When they announced Buildabundle was closing, I was shocked and my very first thought was that I couldn’t allow it to disappear. 

I knew it would need someone with experience of running a preloved clothes business of a similar size to take it on, so I asked Anna and Nat if they would be open to selling it to me. To my absolute delight, they immediately said they would!

And, so after a few hectic, mad weeks, here we are.  Anna and Nat have trusted me with their ‘baby’ and I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by the responsibility I’ve taken on, but also really, really excited about what lies ahead. 

I know I’m not the only one that loves everything that Buildabundle has stood for.  With that in mind, I hope you’ll be pleased to know that my plan is to keep everything exactly the same.

The website will continue to offer great quality kids clothes and maternity clothes at unbeatable prices.  Every order will help the planet, offering an alternative to fast fashion and giving brilliant clothes a new life. 

I will still offer different ways to pay, including split payments.  I’ll hold orders for you if you want to add to them before I post them out and I’ll make sure everyone who used to collect their orders from Anna and Nat directly can still order cost effectively (without needing to drive to Devon to collect).

And, I know how much Anna and Nat’s passion, honesty and dedication have always meant to you – with great customer service and a positive attitude.  That won’t change either.  If there’s anything you need, just ask.  I’ll be happy to help.

In other words – yes, Buildabundle has a new home and is run by a new face, but in every way I can, I’ll keep Buildabundle just the way it has been. 

Over the next few weeks, I’ve got quite a bit to do, so please bear with me.  I’ve had to turn off a few features on the website temporarily, including Klarna and Clearpay, but they will be back as soon as I have an account with them.

I’ll also be adding more clothes as soon as we can get them photographed – next week, if everything goes to plan.  And, hopefully before the end of the month, I’ll also open up some slots so you can sell your clothes to us again.

Phew! I think that’s everything. 

Thank you for reading and for continuing to support Buildabundle.  It’s still a mum-run business, and I feel very, very honoured that Anna and Nat have trusted me with it.  I’ll do my very best to look after you all in just the way they have over the years.

The website is now takings orders again from 5pm tonight and, when that first order comes in, I’ll be dancing about like Angela Rippon on Strictly!
